Great Support for the Book fair at SMG

Congratulations to 3B for their donations to "All for Books." Their total was $191. Because they are the winning class, they will be celebrating with Mrs. Cottingham on Thursday, May 18. 3B will be having a picnic, supplied by Mrs. Cottingham, on the playground. They will fly kites, play whiffle ball and more.

Thank you to all the classes who participated in camping day and the Book Fair!

Spirit Hour Update

Hello SMG Families,

Your partnership with St. Maria Goretti School is important. One of the ways you demonstrate this partnership is through your contribution of SPIRIT hours. As Mrs. Rios stated at the beginning of the school year, your SPIRIT hours will be considered when making enrollment decisions for next year. If you are still in need of SPIRIT hours to meet your commitment, we have a few more opportunities for volunteers in May. If you are unable to meet your commitment, please contact the school to discuss a plan.

The deadline to turn in SPIRIT hours was Friday, May 12th to have them included on your final report. Final SPIRIT Reports for the year will go out May 17th. If you earn SPIRIT hours after May 12th, please submit those hours to the office before you leave the school so that your totals can be adjusted before I submit the final report to Mrs. Rios.

Please check our SignUp Genius page for opportunities to volunteer. We currently have the following needs:

· Walk for Life, May 19 – need chaperones

· Lunchroom/Playground, daily - 3 volunteers needed

· Jr High Dance, May 19 – need chaperones

· Fr. Hauck 1st Mass Reception, May 21 – need food donations

· 4th of July Parade

· Field Day, May 25 – need supply donations

· Mass Welcome Table

· Summer project help – there are always projects that come up over the summer. If you would like to be contacted to help with these, please sign up.
