Your Voice is Power
A group of 30 students at Bowling Green Junior High are participating in the Your Voice Is Power learning experience and coding competition. The students meet during 7th period, and are supported by professionals from Light of Chance, a local non-profit that serves youth through innovative arts and wellness programs.
The Your Voice Is Power project is a collaboration between Amazon, Georgia Tech, and Pharrell Williams that incorporates music, computer science, and entrepreneurship to advance racial equity.
Students are learning to use Georgia Tech's EarSketch platform and for the competition, they will write code for a musical remix using Pharrell's new song "Entrepreneur.” The remixes will be judged based on quality of music, code, and messaging by a panel of industry professionals.
