Digital Learning Spotlight

The Digital Learning Team is attending the annual TCEA (Texas Computer Education Association) Conference this week. This year's theme is #learnanywhere. We are attending a variety of sessions and academies to learn how other educators in Texas are meeting the challenges that face professionals everyday, including how to maximize the use of digital resources to support learning for all staff and students.

After just 1 1/2 days here are just some of the great things we have already learned and will be bringing back to BISD:

  • new powerful ways to maximize our BISD Google Apps for Education (g.birdvilleschools.net)
  • new awesome ways that teachers and staff can use Project Innovate iPads
  • 3D printing and other innovations
  • electronic portfolios
  • student coding
  • plotagon.com

Twitter Tuesday Tonight! - We Want to Hear From You!

Since September, Birdville staff have been chatting on Twitter each week to grow and share our knowledge about digital learning practices. Join us tonight at 8:00 PM as we chat about what the technology department needs to know.

Questions:

1. How have you used digital resources to improve staff and/or student learning?

2. What should the technology department know that you think they may not know?

3. What topic(s) related to digital learning are you interested in learning more about?
