BHMS Principal's Update 10/2/21
State Testing Information, Basketball, October Events
It was a great experience having two back to school gatherings outside. It's been a long time since we have seen the students have fun. It was nice be a spectator to their joy. Everyone in the two gatherings was appropriately behaved. We look forward to many many more interactions such as these.
We have state testing the second week of October. This new test is called the Start Strong Assessments. This will provide clear data points as to where students need the support.
Winter sports are starting as well. Make sure you get your physicals in and current if basketball or wrestling is something that is of interest to your child.
Have a good weekend Bulldog Families
Sincerely,
Mike D'Ostilio

Reminders about Protocols
BHMS Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month by Recognizing Contemporary Difference Makers Who Build Community Through Relationships.
Week 3...George Lopez-Actor and Comedian
Each week, during September/October we honor contemporary difference makers of Hispanic Heritage. We honor these celebrities, not because of their fame or riches, but for what they do with that fame or wealth. Specifically, we celebrate them for their philanthropy and service to others. Over the last two weeks we celebrated Pitbull and Sonia Sotomayor. In week 3 we honor George Lopez, actor and comedian, for his George Lopez Foundation that supports veterans and families, the underprivileged youth, and raises awareness for kidney disease. George Lopez is of Mexican American ancestry and despite his humble beginnings in Mission Hills, California, has used his wealth and fame to truly support those associated with his philanthropy.
