Media Center Visits!
In October (pictured above) Mrs. McClure's classes visited the Media Center to learn about the library! Students learned how to check-out books, how to access eBooks and audio-books, and more! If you would like to bring your class to the Media Center contact via email at lthomas@emersonschools.org. Include what period you would need, and the number of students in your class. Tables will be reserved and you will be added and invited on the Media Center calendar.
Libraries Working Together!
Representatives from the Emerson Public Library will be visiting before Thanksgiving with the Junior High English classes to update or register students for public library cards, and show how to access eBooks and audio books on eBCCLS. See photo below of class schedule. Students should bring their chrome books and public library cards to the Media Center for their scheduled time. It is recommended that teachers have their classes go to the Chrome Store and add the Overdrive App to their chrome books. Study halls will be moved to the cafeteria.
Audio and eBooks from our EJSHS online collection.
Access titles online at http://wbb18520.follettshelf.com/.
Note: The infinity sign ∞ on eBooks signifies unlimited access. This means your entire class can access the book at the same time. If students log-in, they can also take notes on what they have read, print out their notes to a .pdf, and upload to an assignment on your Google Classroom.
