Pumpkin Extravaganza

Pumpkin Extravaganza

The Palacios Elementary Library hosted a Pumpkin Extravaganza for students and their families. It was a BOOK CHARACTER extravaganza. The pumpkin characters were created at home. Ordinary pumpkins were transformed into student's favorite book characters! They were on display in the library from October 5th to October 29th. Judging took place on Monday, October 26, 2015. Our judge was Mrs. Nora Galvan, P-SJ-A Library Coordinator. She made the winning selection based on the criteria of visual impact, craftmanship and originality. Only book characters were accepted. The winners received 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons and paperback books for their home libraries.

Thank you to the parents and students that participated in this event to promote reading. We appreciate your support. Thank you to our judge, Mrs. Nora Galvan for her participation.
