A blog is a website containing a writer's or group of writers' own experiences, observations, opinion, etc with images and link to other websites. And if you haven't heard, we have started blogging! Each homeroom now has a Kidblog, and each student has a user account. To read the many benefits of blogging, see the above graphic. Please know that the teacher (me) can monitor all activity in our blogging community. The students are well aware of what they can and cannot say and do online, and they are careful to protect their own privacy as well as the privacy of others when posting.

Parent Role

Right now, parents can view any Public posts by clicking on the links above. Please know that I personally approve all Public posts.

Kidblog also provides a Parent role that is tied directly to their child's Student Portfolio. The Parent role is independent of a specific class. Parents may see all of their child's posts but may not see those from other students - unless you invite them as a Guest. I will share Guest codes at a later date.

Students have the ability to invite their parents/guardians via their Dashboard by entering the parent’s email. The parent will receive an email with instructions to connect with their child.
