INFO SESSIONS | APPLY | CGI U @ Nazareth College
Do you want to make a difference to the world around you?
Are you passionate about something that you want to do for your community?
Do you have an innovative idea for social change?
If your answer to one of these questions is YES, here is a great opportunity.
Represent Nazareth at CGI U 2018!
What is CGI U?
CGIU or the Clinton Global Initiative University is President Clinton's initiative to engage the next generation of leaders on college campuses around the world for global social change. Nazareth College is a member of the Clinton Global Initiative University Network for 2017-2018.
How can you be a part of it?
This Spring semester, Nazareth students have the opportunity to submit project applications-called a Commitment to Action- to CGI U. If the project is selected, our students will
- travel to the CGI U Fall Training, hosted by President Bill Clinton and Chelsea Clinton,
- further develop the project, and
- then put the plan into action.
Accepted students will join a thousand college students and leaders from around the world at the CGI U training in October 2018 . Travel scholarships are available. Funding for projects may also be available. The deadline for applications is May 1st, 2018.
Students can propose projects from five focus areas:
- Education,
- Environment and Climate Change,
- Peace and Human Rights,
- Poverty Alleviation, and
- Public Health.
