She earned a B.S. in Psychology from Oklahoma State University with an experimental/behavioral focus. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a private practice in Lewisville, TX. Her previous counseling experience has included working with adult victims of violence, children and adolescents in residential treatment programs, and in the schools with teen parents, at-risk teens, and as a Behavioral Resource Specialist. She began her private practice in 2006 with a focus on adolescents as she found few therapists working with teens and their families. She currently enjoys working with adult women and men, adolescents (age 12 and up), and families. Her counseling style utilizes cognitive behavioral methods, solution focused techniques, and family systems theory while incorporating the power of the individual to bring about wellness and change. Betsy has been married 20 years and has 2 boys. She is currently joining the ranks of a teen parent!
