Understanding the psychology of your student and their ever changing state of mind is crucial to raising a healthy teen. This gathering will lay out how your teen is changing internally and invisibly. This knowledge will lay down building blocks for improving communication with your teen and help in creating a healthy relationship.

Heather Bobo

Heather Bobo is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with undergraduate degrees from Texas A&M (whoop!) and a masters degree from Mean Green UNT.

She and her husband have lived in Denton since 1994 and raised 2 children, both currently in college.


Heather’s counseling experiences include non-profit agency work with all ages and work in the school setting in Aubrey and Denton ISDs. She is trained in play therapy, sand tray therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Her specialties include struggles with Anxiety, OCD, Depression, Relationship Issues, Teen Crisis, Life Balance, and more.

Currently, Heather owns a private practice in Denton offering Individual/Couples/Family counseling services for children, adolescents and adults.

Betsy Morris

Betsy Morris earned a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University in 2000. She earned a B.S. in Psychology from Oklahoma State University with an experimental/behavioral focus.


She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a private practice in Lewisville, TX and Denton, TX. Her previous counseling experience has included working with adult victims of violence, children and adolescents in residential treatment programs, and in the schools with teen parents, at-risk teens, and as a Behavioral Resource Specialist.


She began her private practice in 2006 where she currently enjoys working with adult women and men, adolescents (age 12 and up), and families. Her counseling style utilizes cognitive behavioral methods, solution focused techniques, and family systems theory while incorporating the power of the individual to bring about wellness and change.


Betsy has been married 20 years and has 2 boys. She is currently joining the ranks of a teen parent!

Faith Student Ministries

We exist to help teens connect to each other, spiritual mentors and God. We serve the community through mission projects, grow together through Bible Studies on Wednesdays, and have bookoos of fun Sunday evenings.
