MRE Update

June 14, 2021

Last Day of School: Wednesday, June 23rd

Students are dismissed at 11:30 and lunch will not be served on this day.

3rd Grade Wax Museum - Change of Date!

We are so very disappointed with Mother Nature this week. We had high hopes that the weather on Tuesday, June 15th would just cooperate with us. Unfortunately, there is a high percentage chance of thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon, and we must PIVOT once again! The date of our museum is now FRIDAY, June 18th. The times and location (under the tents) remain the same.

12:30 - 1:00 - LeBlanc and Mattia

1:20 - 1:50 - Knudson and Wilson

2:10 - 2:40 - Joyce

Again, we are apologetic for having to move the date of our event. We know how excited the students and families are and we explored all options available. We are unable to use any indoor space and with all the outdoor events of the middle school and MRE, Friday was our only option. We hope this works for you. Since we had to change the day, we will be doing a video walk-through of each class so families will be sent their child’s class walk-through. If you are opposed to your child being video-taped in the walk-through, please let your child’s teacher know by Thursday, June 17th.

5th Grade Celebration Ceremony

On June 23, 2021, a Fifth-Grade Celebration Ceremony will take place. This is an opportunity for us to acknowledge the hard work, friendships and learning that has taken place over the past six years. The ceremony will start at 10:15 on the soccer field by the large tents. The ceremony should last about 45 minutes. At 11:20, fifth-grade students will participate in their annual send off of a “Clap Out”. Students in grades K to 4 will line the hallways at dismissal. The fifth-graders will be clapped out by the students. They will exit through the Luther Bank doors where the LBMS staff will be waiting and clapping for them.

Unfortunately due to COVID protocols we can not have parents in the building for Clap Out. Parents can meet their child outside the LBMS entrance in the grassy area between the bus loop and the parking lot by the bike racks.

There will be a rain date of Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 2:00.

The ceremony will be held outdoors. We are asking those who attend to bring their own chair. We are also limiting the ceremony to family members. We will not be able to dismiss younger students to the ceremony.

See the diagram below for details where to park and sit.
