Choose to be GREAT Focus of the Week-Growing

This week we are looking deeper into the growing aspect of Choose to be Great. This is all about creating a growth mindset in our kiddos! This chart will help us change our children's mindset from a fixed mindset to one of growth. If you overhear these type of statements, help us correct them to more of a growth mindset!

Class of the WEEK

Our Classes of the Week are:

The whole school!!!! We had a fantastic first part of a week! All of the grade-levels did wonderful! The teachers rocked it and the kids rocked it! I am so proud to be a RCES Owl!

Principal's Page

We had a GREAT beginning of school! Thank you so much for all you do to make our school a great place to be! We have many exciting things going on around campus. We are always striving to make Reagan County Elementary the very best place to be! As parents, it is so important that we are active in our children's learning. This includes reading at home. We are trying to make sure every student reads at home. For our younger children, this would mean listening to their parent read. Reading is so important; it is the foundation for so many successes later on in life.

Counselor's Corner

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I hope everyone has had a great start. As the school counselor, I offer counseling to students for social skills, organization, self-esteem, anxiety, grief, making and keeping friends and other concerns that may arise throughout the year. Please stop in the office, call me at 325-884-3741, email me at renea.hallmark@rcisd.net or let your child's teacher know if your child needs counseling services. All students will receive guidance lessons twice a six weeks with their homeroom class. My goal is to help all students succeed socially and academically in school and life. I hope you will check here each week for helpful and motivational tips. I'm looking forward to an awesome school year!
