Abraham lincoln was the president during the Civil War. Abraham Lincoln saw that his general was not doing a good job so he got Uysses S. Grant. Abraham told a really short speech after the Civil War and it became a famous speech. It is called the Gettysburg Address. Abraham signed the Emancipation Proclamation. John Wilks Booth believed slavary was right. Abraham Lincoln believed that slavary was wrong. Abraham Lincoln was a good leader during the Civil War.
Ulysses S. Grant

Ulysses S. Grant was the general of the Union Army during the Civil War. U.S. was Ulysses S. Grant's nickname. U.S. went to an army school. He had more soldiers than Robert E. Lee. Ulysses S. Grant attacked on time. He led the Union Army to Richmond, Virginia. He was the hero of the Civil War. He was nice to the Southern Army when they lost because they had no supplies to get back south. The Union were happy that slavery was ended!
