Toms River High School East
Newsletter - April 6, 2022
Dear Families,
What a nice weekend! We held our Pocketbook Bingo Friday evening in the Cafeteria to great success! The Final Four games Saturday were entertaining and I simply just relaxed on Sunday. So, feeling good this morning! I hope you had a nice weekend too! I did watch a movie on Netflix, The Bubble, on Sunday. The movie had potential, but way too long and I think it just lost the plot. I would not recommend the movie!

Within our district, we have over 120 students who are classified as homeless. The walk began in St. Joe’s parking lot and headed down Hooper Ave to the County Offices. Mrs. Foran and her softball team came out in support of the event! Thank you girls for representing East with pride!
Autism Awareness Day
April is Autism Awareness Month. Many of us personally know a student, family member, or relative who has Autism. The rate of individuals diagnosed with Autism has risen over the years and as of today the nationwide average is 1 in 44 while New Jersey remains among the highest at 1 in 34. World Autism Awareness Day was scheduled for April 2nd which is a Saturday, so we would like to invite all staff and students to show support for our students and community by wearing any Autism Academy or Autism Awareness shirts you may have on Thursday April 7th in support of Autism Awareness and Acceptance. Thank you for your support!
