Our Collective Anchors
DuFour’s 4 Questions: The Learning Process
What do students need to know and be able to do?
How will we know when they have learned it?
What will we do when they haven't learned it?
What will we do when they already know it?
The Right Work: The Adult Process
Collaborative teams take collective responsibility.
Collaborative teams implement guaranteed / viable curriculum.
Collaborative teams monitor through frequent, team-developed common formative assessments.
Utilize the results of common assessments.
Utilize a systemic approach to intervention and enrichment.
We are committed to
- Narrowing our standards to just the essentials.
- Using very frequent formative assessment to drive our instruction and respond to the needs of individual students through reteaching and deeper challenges.
- Using smaller assessments focused on the essential standards.
- We will adjust our exam schedule to allow for reteaching and enrichment.
