Principal's Message
Dear Lewistown Families,
On behalf of the entire Lewistown Staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the start of a new school year. For those of you whose children have attended our school in the past, welcome back! For those of you whose children are just entering Lewistown Elementary School for the first time, we are pleased to have you as part of our school community. Know that we're busy preparing for the start of the year and will be here to work alongside you every step of the way. Enjoy the last few days of summer break!
We are looking forward to seeing our young Tigers on Monday, August 15th at 4:00 for our Lewistown Open House! We will begin our Open House in the cafeteria to introduce our new staff and to share a few important updates. After visiting classrooms, please join me on the playground for Popsicles with the Principal!
Our excitement is growing to start the school year!
Yours in education,
Ms. Belinda Fockler
Proud Principal of Lewistown Elementary School
IT IS TIME FOR BACK TO SCHOOL!
Parents and Guardians,
The first day of school is Wednesday, August 17th. Our doors open to welcome our students at 8:15, instruction begins at 8:45. Dismissal begins at 3:15. As in years past, car riders will arrive and be dismissed from the back lot, walkers in the front of the school.
Teachers and staff are excitedly preparing for their arrival. Some things you can do at home to start preparing for school to start include...
- Set a bedtime and start practicing the routine
- Wake up earlier and practice your morning routine
- Label all supplies with your child's name
- Get excited about a brand new school year!
Thank you, Team LES!!
I would also like to thank those teachers and support staff who committed their summer to working with our students in one capacity or another; ELEVATE or Extended School Year. For many of our students, it was a fun-filled, successful summer of learning. Furthermore, many staff members volunteered their time to serve on interview committees, attend trainings and complete other duties as assigned to ensure our students have the very best school experience possible!
From the bottom of my heart, I thank each of our staff as we Learn, Excel, Succeed and Challenge Yourself for the 2022- 2023 school year! We are TEAM LES!
It is a GREAT DAY to be a Lewistown TIGER!
