Zumba Fitness

The Zumba Fitness program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms & easy to follow moves to create a “one of a kind” fitness workout that will blow you away! You will love this exhilarating workout! The routines feature interval training sessions involving fast and slow rhythms to sculpt your body while burning fat. Zumba Fitness is spreading worldwide like wildfire. Stop in and try a fitness class at any time! You may visit 1 time, without obligation to register.

Zumba Gold


Party On!!! Same ZUMBA FITNESS workout modified to lower impact, lower intensity and less complicated moves. If you haven’t exercised in a while, just starting out, or merely just want to add variety to your present fitness schedule this class is for YOU! It’s exercise in disguise! Burn calories while having fun in the party atmosphere! Zumba Gold features an enhanced cool down period at the end to stretch, lower the heart rate and improve balance. Feel good again! You will love this class and you will enjoy the camaraderie that seems to be automatic in Zumba Gold. Couples are encouraged to attend.

Super Core

New! This class includes a complete core workout involving the abdominals, glutes group and back. A strong core is essential to all activities. You will notice a definite

difference if you do this complete routine throughout the week. Bring your own non-slip mat, water and a towel. You CAN do this!!!

Kickin' Cardio / Boot Camp

This fitness program offers creative and fun Cardio Kickboxing for the first 30 minutes of class. This gets the muscles warmed up and really burns those unwanted calories. (AKA: Turbo Kick) Then for the next 25 minutes of class it becomes a supervised structured“ boot camp style circuit training” program to help strengthen and tone your muscles. The boot camp segment is always evolving and changing to keep your progress in full momentum. At the conclusion of every class is a nice relaxing, cool down stretch to help improve your circulation and flexibility. Experience group fitness like never before! This is a “one of a kind” program! You won’t find this class anywhere else! Only available at the Sandwich Park District! Become part of a “team” which supports one another while helping each other reach new levels and achieve new goals. THIS is the fitness class you have been looking for! FUN! GREAT RESULTS!

Yoga

This class is designed for the beginner or intermediate participant of all fitness levels. Yoga practice involves slow slow deliberate movement and poses to strengthen, stretch and relax the whole body. The warm, darkened room, soothing music and mild aromas will lift away your stress. This practice is for all fitness levels. Sessions are 6 weeks long.

NOTE: Bring a non-slip yoga mat, towel, water, and a jacket or towel for cool down. Wear loose clothing to enable proper form and ease of movement.

Chair Yoga

This class is for the very beginner and will include movements to develop balance and strength. Emphasis is placed on breathing technique and coordination of breathing with movements. Chair Yoga increases flexibility and helps decrease joint pain. A chair is used as an aid to balance and assists with standing poses. The room is darkened and scented, with soothing music playing. Participants may wear shoes, but bare feet are recommended during the session. Bring your own non-slip yoga mat, towel and water.

Boomer Fitness

Here is something to do for a healthier you! Help reduce the risk of osteoporosis, improve your balance and posture, breathe better, have more energy, and strengthen your muscles. Tone your body and help lower your blood pressure. Take part in 15 minutes of walking (Outdoors when weather permitting or indoors if not), 10 minutes of warm-up exercises, 20 minutes of strengthening and toning exercises using a chair and hand weights. 15 minutes of balance and cool down exercises. Come fellowship with some fellow "BOOMERS".
