Woods Lake Elementary
Weekly Update May 17-21, 2021
Hello Woods Lake Family,
This week we are preparing to administer the spring NWEA/MAP testing for students in reading and mathematics. It is important that your child gets plenty of rest and is prepared to do their personal best on the test. We ask that there are minimal distractions to support focus for our learners. Thank you for your help!
I want to invite you to our final virtual PTO meeting of the 2020-21 school year, Monday, May 17, 2021, from 5:15-6:00 p.m.
Mark your calendars, Wednesday, May 26, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. will be our annual family, Everything Educational Event hosted by Mary Anne and Mike from Three Rivers, Michigan! This Open House-style family game night will be packed with fun for everyone! As we comply with safety protocols, we ask that you RSVP HERE on this form so that we can gain a perspective of how many families plan on attending. In addition, we want to have enough FREE take-home games for families to continue engaging in learning and fun for everyone!
On June 9th and 10th we will celebrate our kindergarten students and will say farewell to our fifth-grade students. Be sure to save the date!
As always, Stay Safe and Stay Healthy!

Academically Talented/Avant-Garde 2021-22
Any student who has already been identified for A/T will be invited to participate next year, regardless of whether they participated this year. We understand that this year was a unique year and that many families chose not to participate; therefore there is no penalty for this. We will let families know that if they wish to opt-out again, they may do so by contacting the elementary education office.
