2014 7th & 8th grade game schedule

10/22 Kearsley - Away

7th Grade games start at 4:15

8th Grade games start ten minutes after 7th grade game ends: Approximately 6:00

If anyone has pictures of our games they would like to share on this website please email them to me.

Please send pics to both of my emails. The school's fire wall tends to capture a lot of parent emails. Thanks

2014 Middle School Football Rule change

Each quarter was increased by two minutes. We are now playing four (ten minute) quarters.

FYI - This will affect the start time of the 8th grade game.

Practice Schedule

All practices will be from 3-5 from now on unless otherwise noted by your coach. We will give you at least 24 hour notice before a practice schedule change.

Equipment Storage

The dry room in the boys locker room is now available for pad storage. We would like the boys to put their helmet and shoulder pads in there after practice. This will eliminate a lot of hassle transporting gear to and from school.

Celly is a free program that you can sign up for to receive information about SCMS Football to your cell phone via text messaging. It’s very easy to sign up for and we highly recommend it for players and parents (sometimes 7th and 8th graders forget to pass on important info to their parents).

  • To sign up for celly follow these instructions:
  • Send a text message to this number: 23559
  • In the text box write: @SCFOOTBALL14
  • It is case sensitive: Make sure you use ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. No spaces.
  • If you sign up correctly, you should receive a text message welcoming you to the Swartz Creek Middle School Football Celly.
  • Sign up sooner than later because I’ll send info throughout the summer.

Athletic registration Fee - 2014 UPDATE

  • The $75 athletic registration fee has been waived by the board. That means there is no cost to play.

*To win, a team has to be obsessive about the fundamentals and the little things.

*You must hate to lose more than you love to win!

*"Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed.". "Every morning a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death.". "So...It doesn't matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you'd better be running."
