Raptor Coming Soon
Part of keeping students and staff safe is knowing who is in our building at all times, so we are rolling out a system to allow us to do just that. Starting Jan. 24, 2022, WSD visitors will check in to our buildings using Raptor, a new visitor management system designed to assist with building security.
What does that mean for you?
When you arrive in a WSD building as a visitor, you will be asked to scan your ID, take a photo and complete the management system’s check-in process.
Raptor will screen the information against sex offender databases and locally customized lists of banned or potentially threatening individuals, instantly alert school officials to a threatening presence, and maintain a searchable log of all visitors.
Once approved, you will get a customized visitor badge to wear while in the building.
Thank you for your support as we roll this out and enhance school safety protocols!
Parents or guardians who are only picking up a child for the day will not need to use the visitor management system.

WSD Holiday Assistance Program Underway
Would you like to bring a little holiday cheer to a WSD family? Each year in December the WSD Holiday Assistance Program helps to provide gifts for needy students and their families. Last year over 350 families and more than 1,000 children received assistance in this charitable effort! The program, coordinated by the WSD Communications & Community Relations Department and school counselors, works with businesses, community groups and individuals to help make the upcoming holidays more enjoyable for struggling families. In our schools, students and staff do a variety of things to raise money and collect gifts, and many families are adopted by their own caring school community. But there is always a need for additional community support.
In addition to the traditional WSD Holiday Assistance Program, the WSD is partnering with Morning Star Church and seven of our schools are participating with Morning Star's Christmas Shoppe. The WSD is also partnering with Calvary Church West Campus and three of our schools are participating with Calvary’s Christmas Store. These “Christmas Shops” are an opportunity for WSD families in those schools to purchase gifts for their own children at deeply discounted prices. The gifts are donated and all proceeds go to the churches that assist local families throughout the year.
Whether you choose to adopt a family through the District's traditional Holiday Assistance program or if you would like to donate items for the WSD/Morning Star Church Christmas Shoppe/Calvary Church Christmas Store, your assistance is the key to the success of our Holiday Assistance efforts.
If you, your family and friends, or your company would like to provide gifts for a family in need, families range in size from one child to seven children and donors can request what size family they would like to adopt. Donors also have the option of contacting the family directly and arranging to drop gifts or dropping the gifts at the WSD Administrative Center, and we will coordinate getting the gifts to the donor’s adopted family.
If you would like to help out and share a little cheer by adopting a family or collecting items needed for the Christmas Shoppe or Christmas Store, please contact your school counselor or call the WSD Communications & Community Relations Department at (636) 327-3800 ext. 20358 or email kathleendelaquil@wsdr4.org for more information. You can make a difference and make the holidays a little brighter for WSD children in need! #WSDcommunity
