Morton's Musings

Communication for the week of December 7, 2015

We will be having a book gift exchange on Thursday, December 17th. Please have your child bring a wrapped book to school prior to that day. The book does not need to new, but please ensure, if it is used, it is in good condition. Your child is welcome to exchange one of their gently use books for the exchange. On the gift tag, leave the TO person blank. In the FROM spot, write your child's name. THANK YOU.

Testing Week

Due to doing MAPS, DIBELS and an End of the UNIT reading test, there is no new material being presented this week. They kiddos will have no new phonics, comprehension, High Frequency words or spelling words to practice at home this week.

This week we are reviewing strategies to add to a sum of 20. A big help in this area is if they know their sums of 10 facts (0+10+10, 1+9=10, 2+8=10, 3+7=10, 4+6=10, 5+5=10). Please be practicing these 5 facts at home, in the car, etc. Thank you.

Reminder... We will be going to see the Nutcracker in Cody on Friday.
