I was only able to pop in on a few Teamwork Tuesday discussions this week, but heard some excellent collaboration about mapping out content for the first 2 quarters and planning grade level activities. When we have our data the focus of our discussions will shift. This was an AWESOME start! Love the deliberate conversations!
Are you remembering to notice the AWESOME happening around you? Take a moment to jot a quick note to a colleague to let them know how much you appreciate them!
Nuts and Bolts
* Please remember to have students complete the SRI/FRA by Friday, September 11th.
* We are headed into our second full week of classes and students are beginning to settle into our routines. Be sure you are practicing procedures for reading so you can begin small group reading instruction as soon as possible, even if for only a very short time segments. We will want small group reading instruction happening in all classrooms by September 8th. Small group instruction will evolve over time, increasing the time and intensity of instruction. We want to begin small so we build stamina of students AND teachers.
*The new policy in the lunchroom is NO charges for teachers. Thank you for putting money on your account and keeping up with this IF you are eating school lunch! This helps to avoid putting our cashier and cooks in the middle.
*Don't forget to join PTO. The $6 membership fee is a small way to thank PTO for all they do for us, our school, and our students throughout the year. Forms were in mailboxes on Thursday morning.
