Isaac Newton

One of the greatest scientist in the 1600s-1700s.

Where did he live and when?

Isacc Newton was born in England and was born in 1643 and died in 1727. Isacc Newton was known for pulishing his books and his laws he made, such as the law of motion.

What was his early life like?

His early life was ok as he was a very smart kid in school. His first job was a tutor, and he was very good at it. Isaac was very talented and smart early in his life.

What was he doing later?

Later in his life he published a book called Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica. This book was one of his first marks in history in his life.

What did he know?

He also later published the laws of motion. When he published this law it helped estimate the mass of the planets.

Later life.

in 1703, Newton was elected president of the Royal Society upon Robert Hooke's death, In 1705. Hooke was one of Newton's rivals. Hooke challenged him with a lot of things he also found out.

Other challenges.

Hooke was not the only one to question Newton's work in optics. Renowned Dutch scientist Christiaan Huygens and a number of French Jesuits also raised objections.
