Mariner Families,

We have just one week left until fall break! This has been an exciting quarter! We had our fall sports assembly and a spirit week with activities this week. The students are having fun and participating in the activities.

We also successfully completed our evacuation drill and the students were cooperative and attentive. We were able to evacuate all students to the football field in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. It is so important for students to follow directions when we are dealing with safety issues. A few weeks ago, we had our lockdown drill and we will participate in the California Shake Out drill for earthquake preparedness after the fall break. Student safety is our priority, and we appreciate their participation in our safety drills.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Teresa Kramer

Principal

If your student chooses to ride their bike, skateboard, or scooter to school. They must secure them in the storage area located by the library. They will not be allowed on campus. We do have skateboard lockers and chains available, but students must bring their own lock. Any standard combination lock will work for the skateboard lockers. Mar Vista High is not responsible for theft or vandalism of these transportation items.
