The Freshman Friendly - Team 2022
August 2018
Welcome Parents/Guardians
The month of August is flying by and so far we have had a great start to the school year!

Dress Code
The month of August and September can produce lots of sunshine and hot temperatures. With this in mind, parents please remind your students that our BHS student handbook has a dress code policy that will be enforced.
Student Handbook “Dress Code”:
Clothing should be constructed and worn in a manner that is not unduly revealing. Tops that may NOT be worn are tank tops, muscle shirts, tube tops, halter tops, backless shirts, tops with spaghetti straps, sheer or fishnet shirts, and cut-offs or other tops which show midriff. Plunging neck lines and excessive exposure is not acceptable. Our gauge for necklines will be 4”; the length of four fingers. All shorts, skirts, and pants should not be unduly revealing, using the fingertip rule as a guide.
Hallway Traffic Patterns
The addition of a second exterior hallway has improved the flow of traffic during passing periods. We are very close to settling in on a bell schedule that will maximize our instructional time.
Student Appointments
Please call ahead AS EARLY IN THE DAY AS POSSIBLE if you are picking up a student for an appointment. This will allow us to deliver a pass to our students in plenty of time. All appointment pick-ups as well as drop-offs/late arrivals need to go through door 1.
Football Game Spirit Days
Every Friday of the football season is a spirit dress up day. We want your student to be involved and take part in the fun.
East Middle School Travel and Schedule
Students that travel to East Middle School in the morning should be ready to load their shuttle bus no later than 7:30 a.m. at door #4. If a student is late to school and their class at the time is at East Middle School, then their ride should drop them off at East Middle School, not BHS.
Class Ring Meeting
Our student class ring meeting will take place on September 7th. Information will be shared in the meeting that will explain the process of ordering a class ring.
Class Ring Orders
Students will order class rings on Thursday, September 13th or Friday, September 14th during their lunch period.
Naviance
Ms. Hendrich and Mr. Patterson will be meeting with freshmen in September to introduce Naviance, which is a system that provides information on careers, colleges, and goal-setting. During the meeting students will complete a career interest activity and research careers.
Parent Meetings
Team 2022 relies on Communication and Relationships to help you and your student feel supported and valued. As we look forward to getting to know you and your student, do not hesitate to request a meeting with a Team 2022 member.
