The Small Big! Small Changes that Spark Big Influence
Small things do make a difference. How might this apply to schools and districts?
MASA/MAISA Survey to be Completed by Curriculum Directors or Superintendents:
All ISD’s are working with MASA/MAISA to collect information from all local districts that will assist the Systemic School Reform Committee of MAISA and MASA as it works toward meeting the recommendations for improving Michigan public education. The survey is intended to gather information on what is happening across the state in competency based education, performance standards, and new learning models. In addition, the survey asks local districts what barriers exist to implementing these educational reforms and what resources they would need to be successful.
The survey will be explained and coordinated through the Curriculum Director’s Committee (tomorrow). Only (1) survey response is needed for (1) district. We are asking that you get input from others, if appropriate, before answering the survey. The survey will take between 5-15 minutes to complete. We are asking that all districts submit their surveys on or before March 6th. Again, only (1) person needs to complete for your district. I have attached a PDF copy for you to print if you would like to review the questions prior to responding.
