Enrollment Surprises
Digital Spring Photo Day
Next Friday, April 24, students are encouraged to put on something nice, run a comb through their hair, and take a picture for a virtual spring school picture day. Just like with the actual spring photos, students can feel free to look sharp, strike a pose, or even be silly. Please post the photos to your own social media (if you are on social media) and share them with Holy Family with the hashtags #positivelyfamily and #photoday. If you are not on social media but would like to participate, please email them directly to me, and I will post for you. This should be a fun way for us to all sort of see one another and to choose joy! Thank you!
Hy-Vee Cash 4 Students Update
This program earns our school system $1 for every $200 collected in receipts from the 13 Cedar Rapids and Marion Hy-Vee Food Stores and Drugstores. For this current promotion, we are collecting receipts dated from April 1, 2019-March 31, 2020.
Hy-Vee has extended our receipt turn in date. We are asking if you still have any receipts dated 4/1/2019-3/31/2020 to please mail them to school at: 3700 1st Ave NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405 BY May 1st. Please do not send any receipts dated after 3/31/2020 at this time (we will start collecting those in the fall).
Thank you to all of the families that have turned in receipts during this promotion, and thanks to any of you that counted your own receipts. We would like to extend a very special "Thank You" to Lawrence Roudabush from St. Jude Church for counting and tallying up the majority of our receipts - we couldn't do it without you!
Strategic Plan on Hold
STO Reminder and Update
In order to better support families while socially distancing, Julie will create a Google phone number that you may call to reach Julie on her cell phone. She will be glad to help families with STO remotely by phone as such.
Thank you!
Faith Resources from St. Jude's Church
Hello All!
This weekend, many of us will be preparing for and watching Mass at home for the first time. How do we help the youngest Catholics prepare for and engage with the Liturgy in this way? Here are some resources that either have been made free or are already free to help you make this an easy and effective transition.
· Kid's Liturgy: This resource is made for younger children (ages 3-1st grade) and leads through a Children's Liturgy of the Word session including music, Gospel reading and interpretation, and ends with an activity sheet to download. Follow the directions below to access this Sunday's Liturgy.
1. Go to https://mlearn.smp.org
2. Copy/paste the following login information:
Username: kidsliturgy@smp.org
Password: KidsLiturgy123!

· MagnifiKids!: Has a kids version of the Magnificat, a guide to Mass each week. Children ages 6-12 can use this colorful booklet as their guide to prepare to watch Mass at home. Click the current week's date to download the guide for that Liturgy.
