We are thrilled to have the Friesen's as our speakers/teachers over Memorial Day weekend this year! They have made it their mission to pour into marriages through counseling, camps, conferences, and church presentations.


Paul and Virginia will be sharing in five sessions from their brand new series titled, "Better Together". Session titles include, Sacrificial Love, Love and Respect, Uniqueness, Marital Sexuality, and Married For More Than Me.

Event Information:

Relax. Restore. Recommit. at the 6th annual Joni and Friends Sacramento Marriage Getaway. Whether your marriage is affected by the disability of a spouse or special needs of a child, we welcome you to join us for encouragement, teaching, worship, fun, and fellowship. The Getaway includes three nights lodging over Memorial Day weekend. It all takes place at the renowned Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center in Zephyr Cove, Nevada.

Registration Information:

The cost is $575 per couple; only $50 deposit due per couple to register. Cost includes 3 nights lodging, meals, materials, teaching, worship, professional portrait, candlelit couples dinner, optional dance and kareoke party, prayer time, breakouts, refreshments, and an opportunity for free marriage counseling. Massage options available at additional cost. Interest-free PAYMENT PLANS are available upon request.

Drs. Paul and Virginia Friesen Bio

Paul and Virginia Friesen were married in 1976 and have three young adult daughters and two Godly sons-in-law. They both have Doctorates in Marriage and Family Therapy from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and are the lead resource couple at Home Improvement Ministries. The Friesens regularly speak at marriage, men’s, and women’s conferences in the US and internationally, are frequently invited to give family and parenting seminars, and have an ongoing ministry with professional athletes.


The Friesens have authored over ten books and curriculums on parenting and marriage, including Letters to My Daughters, In Our Image, Raising a Trailblazer, Before You Save the Date, and most recently, The Marriage App.

Paul and Virginia’s greatest joy in life is knowing that their children are walking in the Truth.
