Wasco Weekly
THE STRENGTH OF THE WOLF IS ITS PACK
May 20, 2022
Wasco Families,
We are hoping that your summer plans include exploring one or some of the reading options provided by our LRC Director, Kerri Furlong. We want kids to read for pleasure, finding books that interest and challenge their thinking, conversations, and imagination. Parents, you are a powerful model and supporter of your child’s interest and pursuit of reading. We seek to be your partner in finding what motivates and stimulates your child to expand their reading appetite! Please contact your child’s teacher or any of our specialists if you have questions or seek ideas.
Kind Regards,
Principal Brennan

Calling All Fourth Graders to Be a Part of the Band!

Recently your fourth grade student attended a Band Launch Party! They heard the instruments and learned how each instrument makes a sound. Your child watched a video in general music class about all the instruments as well. It’s important that students are able to see and hear the instruments as much as possible because due to COVID-19 safety mitigations students are not allowed to try out the instruments in school.
Students can choose from the following band instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, french horn, trombone, baritone, tuba and percussion.
Check out our district band presentation to "meet" me and get information about the band program. Band Presentation. You can also find out much more information at any time on our Band Recruitment Website
