Why I chose The Beatles...
I chose The Beatles because they were a big influence on the young of that time. This is because a lot of their songs were about peace which would of sparked that generation (along with the next) interested and devoted to finding peace.
The Members.
The Beatles members were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.
Early Days.
They started in July1957, when McCartney came up to Lennon after a performance by his skiffle band the Quarrymen. McCartney was asked to join a few weeks later. In early 1958 George Harrison joined, followed by Pete Best, who was replaced by Ringo Starr.

The Ed Sullivan Show!!!!!!!!!!
When The Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan show in both 1964 and 1965 they were met with applause and screaming (along with 1 girl possibly hyperventilating). They were kinda like the 1 Direction of their day. They sang several of there songs and then left leaving a hard to impress crowd for all that followed. This also shows the fame they had and the love they got.

Bad John Lennon Bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John Lennon made an uproar when he declared that The Beatles were more popular than Jesus. This obviously was a horrible decision and angered many. The outcome was record burnings and bannings. Eventually Lennon (thankfully) apologized.
Beatles On Protest!!
In protest over the fact that Capitol was butchering their albums, through replacing songs and giving the American recycled material, The Beatles released the album "Yesterday and Today" with a debatable (and personally creepy) album cover. In it they all wore bloody butcher smocks while draped in mangled baby dolls and what appears to be meat. You can still find a photograph of it online. They later changed its appearance (and in some cases just pasting a new cover on over it). Both the original cover and the pasted over covers (well at least the ones with the pasted on cover still pasted on) are very valuable.
