It's a new month!
Here's a bit of what's going on with doTERRA
Need any oils?
If you have any questions or would like to buy some essential oils, please let me know. I'd love to help!
This month's specials and promotions
It's all about dads this month. For a limited time, you can order a Father's Day trio wooden box that includes 5mL bottles of Melaleuca, Peppermint and Wild Orange. These are great oils to get any guy started in essential oils (i.e. none of these smell "girly"). While supplies last, you can order the wooden box trio for $18.50.
This month, receive 10% off of a 15 mL bottle of Juniper Berry. Juniper Berry acts as both an internal and external cleansing agent. Juniper Berry also supports healthy kidney and urinary function as well as healthy skin. When taken internally with citrus oils, Juniper Berry can be part of a cleanse. You can also add a drop to problematic skin or use the oil to support the Urinary Tract when infection is present. Juniper Berry can be used aromatically, topically and internally.
Essential Oil Highlight
Lemon
This month I'd like to shine the spot light on lemon. Lemon is one of my all time favorite essential oils and is doTERRA's number one selling oil for a reason (or many reasons). My favorite way to use lemon is with cleaning. Lemon can be used as a non-toxic cleaner in any room of your home. I love mixing a drop or two with my dish soap and adding a few drops to a damp rag to wipe down my countertops. I've also used lemon to get rid of sticky residue from surfaces and even remove spray paint from my hands! When taken internally, lemon can boost your mood and energy. Because it is a powerful antioxidant, lemon can help ward off free radicals and support your overall immune system (my cold and flu blend has several drops of lemon in it). I diffuse lemon several times a week because of its purifying and mood lifting benefits.

Oil Lessons from the Homefront
The heat is starting to rise and the sun is getting closer and closer to the earth (sorry, Thatcher is pretty into the solar system right now) and we all know what that means--SUN BURNS! Of course the initial goal should be sun protection but we all know what happens after months of being stuck in the house. We kind of become the proverbial insects mesmerized by and drawn to the back porch bug zapper. "The sun looks soooo pretty" we say with a swaying body and blank stare. So we rush out, shed our hoodies and sweat pants onto the lawn and bask in the warmth of the fire ball in the sky. Three hours later the pain sets and we're blaming everyone we can think of for allowing us to go outside at all, much less without sunscreen (or a tent). If you're interested in a natural sunscreen check out http://www.doterrablog.com/diy-ultra-moisturizing-natural-sunscreen/. I never learn my lesson so last year I mixed a batch of After-Sun Spray. To make your own, you will need:
1/2 cup water (I use distilled)
2 Tablespoons of pure aloe vera gel
10 drops of Lavender essential oil
10 drops of Peppermint essential oil
4 oz (or larger) spray bottle (when using essential oils you will need to use either glass or stainless steels containers)
Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour into your spray bottle and apply liberally and as often as needed. Use caution when using on kids. Sometimes they find peppermint to be a bit too intense.
