WLHS Students Participate in National Drug Alcohol Fact Week
The week of March 20-26 is National Drug Alcohol Fact Week. West Linn High School’s Teen Advisory Board (TAB) @wlhstab is using this week to inform and educate students and community members about several important facts and statistics connected to drug and alcohol use.
Students kicked off the important week through a special event on Friday, March 17. TAB students were joined by community members, school board members, law enforcement representatives, City Council members, district representatives, and other local leaders. Mayor Bialostosky capped off the kick-off event by reading an official proclamation on behalf of the City Council.
TAB students will spend the week hanging posters around the community and sharing facts with peers. Learn more about National Drug Alcohol Fact Week.

Riverside High School Enrollment Still Open
Incoming 9th grade and 10th grade students can still choose to attend Riverside High School at any time prior to the start of the 2023-24 school year, even if they've already forecasted for classes at another district high school. Any current 8th and 9th grade student who lives in or is currently enrolled in the West Linn-Wilsonville School District is eligible to enroll at Riverside for next school year through this online link.
The enrollment period remains open through spring break. Students who make their decision after spring break can still enroll through the inter-district transfer process found on the district website. The inter-district transfer process is quick and easy for families.
Riverside will open as a small comprehensive high school with International Baccalaureate, three new Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways, and co-curricular activities including select athletics. Interested students can check out the curriculum guide, including courses that will be offered next year, by visiting the Riverside High School website.
High School Robotics Teams Flourish During Competition Season
Both Wilsonville Robotics Team Error Code Xero and West Linn Robotics Team 2B Determined have soared out of the robotics gates during the 2023 FRC season. West Linn High School students placed second overall at the Clackamas FRC District Event on March 2-4, winning the Team Sustainability Award.
Last week, Wilsonville High School hosted teams from across Oregon, Washington, and even Alaska in their District Competition. Team Error Code Xero took first place overall, winning the Creativity Award. Hear from our students about the hundreds of hours put into building the robot, the nerves of seeing it finally in action, and the pride of being at the center of the robotics community for the weekend.
With their strong starts to the season, both teams will next compete in Salem on March 23-25 at the Oregon State Fairgrounds. Please join us in congratulating and supporting all of our robotics students and mentors.
