Message from Mrs. Rodgers
We have completed our middle-of-the-year assessments: DRA reading level (K-3rd) and MAP testing (k-5th). Please take a minute to talk to your child about the growth that they have made since the beginning of the year. We look forward to a great month full of engaging learning and activities.

100th Day of School- February 1st
On Wednesday, February 1st we will be celebrating our 100th day of school. To celebrate we would love to have the kids dress up like they are 100 years old. We have included some ideas to help you get started planning what your child can wear.
Girls: printed skirts, pearls, eyeglasses, sweater, wig or curled hairstyle, gray hair spray, knee-high stockings, large purse, scarf, etc.-
Boys: button-down shirt, flannel shirt, suspenders, tie, eyeglasses, drawn-on mustache or beard, gray hair spray, etc.
Valentine's Day Parties

Classes will be doing a small Valentine's Day card exchange. It is NOT required to participate, however, if you choose to do so, all students in the class must be included. Names are not required on cards. (If you would like the names your student's homeroom teacher can provide a class list of first names). NO CANDY or FOOD items can be handed out.(Pencils, trinkets, stickers, and other small non-edible things are fine). If your child(ren) bring candy/food it will not be handed out and it will be sent back home with your child(ren)
The deadline to RSVP will be: RSVP below by 8 am on Friday, February 3rd
Please make sure that your driver’s license has been scanned THIS SCHOOL YEAR. If you have not, you will need to come to the front office to have your ID scanned so a name tag can be preprinted. If you do not pre-register, you WILL encounter a delay on the day of the party.

It's All About Love Event
Join us for our first day in the community: It's All About Love Event will have read-aloud, crafts, and make-and-take academic activities.
Counselor’s Corner
Culture4Caring
This month our Culture4Caring meeting will be on Wednesday, February 8 in the library at 7:15. Please make sure that you drop your child off at the front doors between 7:00-7:15 if they are attending. We will focus on the kindness tenant this month. We will create kindness bookmarks and place them in library books so that when Krahn students check out books they receive a fun surprise!
Field Day T-Shirts
Krahn PTO will be purchasing the shirts for students and staff ONLY with money raised from the chocolate fundraiser. Total campus shirt purchase will total about $6000. If you would still like to donate please do so on the home page @ Krahn PTO Store If you would like to purchase a shirt for yourself or a sibling to match you can do so @ Krahn PTO StoreT-Shirts will most likely be Gildan Brand or similar. Best practice is to order a size larger to accommodate for shrinking.
