Camarillo Heights Announcements

June 13, 2022

This is Mrs. Castro with your announcements for the week of June 13th.

It is hard to believe we are beginning the last week of the 21-22 school year. I appreciate your partnership, patience, and grace as we navigated the school year during this lingering pandemic. I am optimistic as every day we become closer to a normal school year. Through it all, I am grateful to be able to host Open House and Kinder & 5th-grade Promotion at our school site this year. Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us. I am one very proud and fortunate principal to serve another year at Camarillo Heights. Have a safe and fun-filled summer!

Before Attending Promotion- Health Protocols

We would like to remind you that COVID protocols are still in place for the protection of our students, staff, and families.

There currently is a spike in cases so it is very important we all follow the guidance:

  • If you have any symptoms, do not assume allergies, head cold, etc. You must stay home. Do not come to Promotion.
  • If you had close contact (less than 6 feet for more than 15 minutes) in the past 14 days, you must stay home.
  • Masking is strongly recommended.
  • Please hand wash and use hand sanitizer while on campus.
  • You should still try to keep physical distance between you and others.

Thank you for your help in keeping us all healthy and safe.

Masks are optional, but COVID Wellness Protocols still apply

Please do not send your scholar to school exhibiting symptoms of illness. All COVID symptom protocols when sending your scholar to school still apply. See more details at the bottom of our announcements.

If your scholar is returning to school after being out on COVID-19 Mandate, you must accompany them to the health office for readmittance.

If your student is out due to a COVID exposure or testing positive- Please wait for a return date from our office before returning to school.

If your student is out due to COVID exposure or testing positive, do not send them back to school without receiving a return date from our office. Due to the high volume, you may experience a delay in receiving your return date.

*Remember your first step is to call in the absence to our school office for further guidance.

**See the resources below.

**There are very specific guidelines in submitting home-COVID test kit results to our office. Details are outlined with our health tech, Monica Alexander. (805) 383-5305

Thank you in advance for reporting all absences to our office. (805)383-5305

All Absences Must Be Reported

Every absence must be reported to our office, illness-related or otherwise, to determine readmittance to the classroom the day of your child’s return. If you do not report their absence to our office, they are sent to the health office until we can clear the reason for absence with you. This is not a productive use of time in your child's school day, with instructional minutes being missed.

When reporting an absence, include; First and last name of your child, the reason for absence, date(s) of absence, teacher, and grade level.

We want to keep our scholars in school, and to do this; we must all do our part to keep our school community healthy.

We love having our scholars at school, and they love being here!

Thank you in advance for reporting all absences to our office. (805)383-5305
