5 Day Green Schedule
- Please note we will NOT have school on Wednesday, November 4th or Wednesday, December 9th as those will both be E-Learning Days
As always, we know our plans can change at any time. We continue to consult with the Douglas County Health Department on a regular basis. We are monitoring the community spread and concerned about recent increases and hope that everyone does their part to help out. We continue to be encouraged by the low number of cases we've had throughout our school district, as that is the primary piece of data we use to drive our decisions. We also look at contract-tracing of our confirmed cases and almost all of those have led to non-school origins.
We know that Green, Red, and Yellow modes all remain possibilities as we move forward.
Thank you for sharing your children with us. Thank you for your continued support.

** Important Update Regarding Fall Activities – October 12, 2020 **
We are very concerned about the ongoing spread of COVID-19 throughout Douglas County and want to do our part to make some adjustments that hopefully allow us to stay in school and finish the fall activities season. We know that having students involved in school activities often helps with classroom engagement, academic performance, and school/community pride and we need everyone’s help to abide by the following guidelines.
Please understand that we wish we could accommodate larger crowds because we believe in the importance of dance team members dancing, cheerleaders cheering, band members performing, and student-athletes competing. However, our top priority is educating young people and keeping them and our staff safe. We simply need to limit the size of crowds we allow to come together as we try to lessen the risk of more spread.
Moving forward, only FAMILY/STEP-FAMILY members and a maximum of 100 senior students will be allowed to attend our remaining football games. Each participant (volleyball player, football player, band member, cheerleader, and dance team member) will be allowed to have a maximum of 4 family members attend their events. These FAMILY/STEP-FAMILY members must be on the approved pass list to purchase tickets . The voucher system will no longer be used. We can’t make any exceptions. Please plan accordingly.
We wish we could allow more in. However, we feel it is more important for our student participants to have a better chance to stay in school and to keep performing and competing in front of smaller crowds than to see their seasons/opportunities end prematurely because of larger crowds that have proven to be more likely to continue the spread of COVID-19.
WHS VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT on October 16th-17th
· Maximum of 4 family members per volleyball player
· No Cheerleaders, Band or Students
WHS FOOTBALL GAME on October 16th and Any “Home” Playoff games to follow
· Maximum of 4 family members per football player
· Maximum of 4 family members per cheerleader
o Varsity only cheerleaders for October 16th
o Varsity and JV cheerleaders for playoffs
· Maximum of 4 family members per dance team member
· Maximum of 4 family members per WHS Band member
· Maximum of 100 student tickets sold to WHS seniors on first-come, first serve basis
We need ALL family members that do attend our WHS events to do an amazing job of social-distancing. Our gym capacity for volleyball will now be at 15% and our ‘home side’ bleacher capacity for football games will now be 30%. Please spread out and use all bleacher space to allow for ample room between you and others.
Masks will continue to be required. We will continue to offer limited concessions as long as people will quickly eat/drink what they purchase and continue to wear their masks. Let’s work together and spread out and re-ignite our attention to this global pandemic as we try to help us stay in school, finish the fall season, and slow the spread throughout our community.
