Good to Know Info
Early Pick-up
When picking students up early please be aware that anytime away from school is recorded. Picking students up early multiple times can affect attendance. Our school day ends at 3:40pm. Students of course may be excused early for appointments, but a parent/guardian must check-in at the office and sign the student out. Students will only be dismissed from class after someone checks them out of the office first. This ensures that we keep our students safe.
Start of the Day
Doors open at 8:10am and students will be counted as Tardy after 8:40. Please keep all students in the car prior to 8:10 as there is no supervision before the doors are open! It is very important for students to be on time to school every day. It makes for a better day of learning when students are in their seats when the bell rings (8:30am). Thank you for your help and support in this.Late Start Fridays
The doors will open at 9:00am, and school will start at 9:20am students will be counted tardy at 9:40am. This allows time for teachers to collaborate, look at data, and plan for the following week with their teams.
TylerSIS Information
It is extremely important that we maintain accurate and timely information on each student so we can make contact in case of an emergency. Please call the office to report all changes in telephone numbers, addresses and emergency contacts. Parents are required to keep access to TylerSIS.
TPS Inclement Weather Reporting
As we make decisions about closing school, a number of factors come into play, including safety of travel but also the safety of students who will be home during the day.
Should school be canceled, we will:
- Send a text/email message via School Messenger
- Update the district social media pages
- Update the district website
- Contact our local media partners
To sign up for text message updates, text Y to 67587.
Covid Self-Reporting
If a TPS student has tested positive for COVID-19 or had a COVID-19 exposure, please complete the TPS COVID-19 Self Reporting Form, and a district health official will contact you the next business day.
Families are encouraged to call the TPS COVID-19 Help Line at 785-438-HELP (785-438-4357) if they have questions related to district COVID-19 resources, testing, or protocol.
