Franklin 3rd graders made their own scratch art paper and created designs with geometric and organic shapes.

Mrs. Brewer’s begindergarten class made bunny hats and went on an egg hunt!
Battle of the Books
4th- and 5th-graders participate in Battle of the Books led by volunteer Amy Danay.
Mock Trial
Mrs. Thompson's 1st Grade Class
Ms. Thompson's first graders have been learning about animal characteristics and survival in Science. Our Engineering question was "How could you make it easier for a human to walk through the desert?" Each science team designed, built, altered, and tested their own project based on animals that survive in the desert. We mimicked elephants, komodo dragons, and camels with our designs!

Mock Trial - 4th Grade G/T
4th grade GT students from Mulberry participated in Mock Trial this week. Their trial took place at Muscatine City Hall, and afterwards, students took a tour of the Muscatine County Courthouse. It was a great day!
--CENTRAL MIDDLE SCHOOL--
Central's 6th Grade Superhero Avengers of the Week!
Sixth Grade Superheroes of the Week for Central Middle School Avengers for April 18! Congratulations to these sixth grade superheroes!

All Iowa Show Choir First Time MHS Participant
Iowa's State FFA Convention
It was a great trip to Ames for the Muscatine FFA Chapter during Iowa's State FFA Convention. On Monday, April 15th, Muscatine FFA members that had qualified through sub-district and district contests competed in the following leadership contests:
~Ag Radio Broadcasting- Reserve State Champion, Gold Rating- Jocee Boynton.
Individual Ag Sales- 4th Overall, Gold Rating- Alley Gray.
~Parliamentary Procedure- Bronze Rating- Alexis Moeller, Sophie Crooks, Andrew Van Nice, Jamie Sprague, Joshaua Robinson, Brooke Horton.
~McKenna Reiss and Jaide Schmelzer served as delegates in the business session and voted on important issues.
On Tuesday, April 16, Muscatine FFA had two teams competing in state-level skills contests:
~Team Ag Sales- 3rd High Team, Gold Rating- Tyler Moeller, Hunter Meyer, Jake Draves, and Nick Petersen. Along with their travel squad/practice pushers- Crew Schliesman, Grant Van Nice, Ava Daufeldt, Grace Williams.
~Poultry Judging- your new State Champions to represent at Nationals in October, Gold Rating- Hope Reichert, Alli Youngbauer, Lexy Donath, Dailyn Garrett and Riley Webber. Last but not least- receiving his State Degree- Andrew Van Nice.
Mr. Tometich was also recognized on stage as a past State FFA Officer, as it is an anniversary year of the officer team he served with.
It was really cool to see a lot of our Muskie support team and alumni at State FFA Convention as teachers, judges, Block n Bridle contest help, and volunteers. MVPs all around. This is a huge event that does not run itself and your willingness to give back is appreciated!

Dr. Sarah Bergthold delivered professional learning with our MCSD special education teachers on April 22nd with a focus on best practices within assessments and functional behavior.
