MHS Newsletter

Your news source for Mansfield High School

From the Principal's Desk...

Dear MHS Students and Families,

This is a special Monday edition of the newsletter. I wanted to use this opportunity to share some great news about our cheerleaders and performing arts students. I have also added a few other announcements that are time sensitive. I will continue with my regularly scheduled newsletters on Friday.

Percussion Ensemble Places 4th at Regional Competition

The MHS Percussion Ensemble competed in the WGI Regional in New Jersey, competing against 22 other percussion groups from 6 other states. They came in 4th place overall after their initial performance landed them a spot in Finals. The students performed their show twice in one day and had the opportunity to rehearse at a local school between both performances. Their score of 86.2 was their highest mark of the season.

JV Color Guard came in first place in their division at their competition at Triton Regional High School this weekend. The varsity group finished in 2nd place in the same competition.

Cheerleaders Place 3rd at Nationals

The MHS Winter Cheer team earned a bronze medal at the nationals this weekend. The event took place in the Poconos in Pennsylvania and was the first trip to the nationals in school history.

Have a great week!
