History of Computing
Introduction
The creation and development of the computer
One of the first key figures of computing was Ada Lovelace. She was a mathematician and is often described as the world's first computer programmer. In 1833 she met a man called Charles Babbage who would later become known as the father of the computer and she assisted him in creating his newly proposed machine- the analytical engine- a design for a mechanical computer.

Charles Babbage began the development of the first computer in the form of the difference machine and, later, the analytical engine.
