Centralized Professional Learning
Weekly one hour professional learning sessions for 20 WCPS teachers. The location of these sessions will be at the Center for Educational Learning (CES) from 4:15 P.M. to 5:15 P.M. on Wednesdays.
February Sessions - Engagement with Poverty in Mind
Summer Workshops and MSDE Courses for WCPS
Semester and annual classes that are representative of system needs and required courses for teacher certification. Courses will be advertised in August, January and May.
Twitter chats
Bimonthly one hour Twitter Chats are held on the first and third Tuesdays from 8:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Join us to discuss current topics in leading and learning. Everyone is welcome! #wcpsmdchat
Modules (NEW AT WCPS)
Training modules will be accessible by all WCPS employees via the portal. The majority of these modules will support accessing and maximizing devices and programs.

New Teacher Induction Program
Bimonthly and monthly trainings hosted for new teachers by county mentors at four locations with a focus on the Framework for Teaching.
Supervisor Led Professional Learning
Supervisors and Content Specialists will focus on content specific professional learning throughout the year. Click on the month to see what opportunities are available.
College Partnerships for Graduate degrees
Collaborative Planning
Sessions for collaborative planning are designed by teachers in coordination with principals, content specialists, or supervisors to meet the needs of planning and implementing new or existing curriculum that align to to CCRS. Participants will need to commit to all sessions. Please contact Joni Burkhart burkhjon@wcps.k12.md.us if you are interested in starting a collaborative planning session.
ICP Session - Four sessions are being formed for ICP teachers to connect, collaborate and backward map for ICP. Please contact Jen Aydelotte at aydeljen@wcps.k12.md.us
ERO Registration
All registration for Professional Learning Opportunities will be done through the Electronic Registration System (ERO). This system will help help teachers to register and to track professional development. The system will indicate your registration status or if you have been placed on a wait list.
