Laptops & Thanksgiving Break
Library Books & Thanksgiving Break
Thanksgiving Break and Library Books: Students are welcome to keep their library books over the break. If you would rather have your students turn in their books, you may do so. Just a reminder, students with overdue or lost materials are unable to check out until the book is paid for or returned.
Letters to Veterans
Allison delivered 200 notes and pictures to the Veteran’s Hospital in Decatur on Tuesday. Everyone at the hospital was so appreciative to receive all of the kind words from our students.
Six Flags Read to Succeed
Six Flags Read to Succeed Program: We have 37 classes who have signed up to participate in this year’s program, challenging students to read 360 minutes or 6 hours by February 16, 2016. If you registered, you should have received all the information you need to send home with students. If you have not signed up, it’s not too late, please see Allison or Debbie to do so!
TumbleBooks
Ever heard of TumbleBooks? TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. TumbleBooks are created by taking existing picture, non-fiction, and chapter books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic book which you can read, or have read to you. It also includes National Geographic videos. Check out the Online Research Library Tab to try it out! We have a free trial courtesy of the Gwinnett County Public Library through March 31st.
