A NEW School Year

August 19 - First Day

Welcome Back!

Hey, Warriors!

It’s BACK TO SCHOOL time! I look forward to being together this school year, and despite the trials and tribulations, there will be victories. There will be celebrations. I am looking forward to being there for those moments.

Below are a few reminders about our first week of school and beyond.

Daily Schedule

First Day

Student first day is Wednesday, August 19th. It is an “A” Day, which means students will be focusing on periods 1 - 4. The next day - Thursday, August 20th, is “B” Day, where students will focus on periods 5 - 8. Please note that if you have a Zero Hour class, this is held from 7:50-8:50am on “A” Days. You should be up and ready for class, appropriately dressed in a distraction-free environment by 9:00am.

Class Periods

Each class period will start with a mandatory Zoom meeting in which you are expected to engage with cameras "On." You can read more about our expectations for class periods below.

Zoom & Schoology

You should use your schedule to determine your first class and enter that course in Schoology to find the link to the video meeting at the top of the page. Your teacher will be taking attendance off of your video attendance and you must have your video on during class.

Daily Attendance

If a student will not be attending school for whatever reason on a given day, a parent MUST call the attendance office. All attendance procedures and expectations are in place for students this year. East Campus Attendance Line: 815-363-2503

Student Work Time, Digital Office Hours & CONNECTIONS

Each morning between 8:15 and 9:00 a.m. and from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. all teachers are available online to answer questions or to assist you with assignments, projects, etc. Students should otherwise be using this time to work on their asynchronous class work!

In addition, CHECK IN WITH FRIENDS! They need to hear from you, they WANT to hear from you! Connection is SO IMPORTANT right now, and you don't have to do this alone! Be a friend. Be a Warrior. Let someone know you're thinking about them.

Meal Assistance

If families have a need for meal assistance for their highschool-aged student, they can contact the East Campus Counseling office for support.
