Dear Clinton Families,
We are in the middle of testing season, and appreciate your positive support to your students.
School wraps up on the Friday before Memorial Day, which is a week earlier than we are accustomed. Please note the end of year activities, on the calendar below, that will be occurring that week.
We appreciate all the wonderful things the PTA sponsors at our school, and want to give a special shout out to Jen Martinez, the PTA President!

Counselor's Corner
The last month of school brings about changes that students and families need to begin preparing for. During the month of May, we will be learning about being responsible for our work and finishing the year strong, dealing with changes that come with end of year and summer schedules, reviewing what we have covered during the year and summer safety. We have the greatest students and I have been honored to work with them.

Fieldtrip Chaperones and Volunteers
It's fieldtrip season! If you are interested in being a chaperone, then you need to complete a Davis School District background check. These can take some time to get an appointment, and have completed, so earlier is better. There is a one time cost of $28. Please let Mrs. Lundell know if you need help with the fee.
You must call for an appointment with the Davis Human Resource Department for a background check. 801-402-5722

Once a volunteer has successfully completed the background check, it is valid indefinitely, according to current state law. The background check will allow you to volunteer for any of your children for as long as they are in the Davis School District.
Friday School Spirit Day!
Our classes are having a school spirit competition each Friday to see who can show the most school spirit. Students should wear a school shirt, blue shirt, or grey shirt in order to be counted towards the class total for the most amazing school spirit. The winning class gets to display the spirit wreath for the following week.
Lunch is on us!
Cafeteria meals are currently free for all students!
Please continue to sign up for Free/Reduced Lunch, as there are sometimes other benefits attached. You can do this through your MyDSD account.
Waterford for Pre-Kindergarten
If you have a child that will be entering Kindergarten this year or if you have a 4-year old who will be entering kindergarten in 2023, we would like to invite you to participate in Waterford Upstart. Waterford Upstart provides four-year-old children access to the highest form of academic support in their early education at no cost to participants: The average Waterford Upstart graduate enters kindergarten reading at nearly a first-grade level and maintains their gains for years to come.
