It is testing season!
*3rd grade will take the MAP test the week of May 9th.
*Kindergarten-2nd will take the NWEA the week of May 16. This test will show how much your kiddos learned this year!
Tip of the Week: Prepare for testing day!
o Be aware of the testing schedule.
o Be certain that your child has had adequate rest (this may mean getting used to an earlier bed time before the week of testing).
o Be on time for school.
o Avoid scheduling appointments that can be done at a later date.
o Dress your child in layered clothing. This way, the child may add clothing to get warmer or remove some clothing to be cooler.
o If your school allows it, make sure your child has a book to read when the testing session is complete.
o Have a positive attitude

*3er grado tomará el examen MAP la semana del 9 de mayo.
*Kinder-2do tomará el NWEA la semana del 16 de mayo. ¡Esta prueba mostrará cuánto aprendieron sus hijos este año!
Consejo de la semana: ¡Prepárese para el día del examen!

PreK Musical / Musical de Prekinder
- Mrs. Britt's Class (PreK A) will perform at 2:00PM.
- Mrs. Fry's Class (PreK B) will perform at 2:40PM.
Parents of prek students are invited to attend the performance. Please bring a valid photo ID and allow time to check into the front office.
Los estudiantes de Prekinder presentarán su musical "Pet Show" el miércoles 11 de mayo en el salón de Educación Física de la Primaria.

Ice Cream Social / Helado Social
Por favor acompañenos el sábado 21 de mayo de 11:00 a.m. a 2:00 p.m. para nuestro Helado Social Anual. Tendremos juegos, actividades, una casa inflable (si el clima lo permite), subasta silenciosa y, por supuesto, ¡helados! ¡Esperamos verte ahí!

Attendance/ Asistencia
Please remember our attendance policy: Students missing 10 or more days in a semester are eligible to be immediately withdrawn. 7 consecutive days of unexcused absence that are not communicated with the school, will result in immediate withdrawal from school and student placed on waiting list.
La asistencia es extremadamente importante para que todos los estudiantes aprendan. ¡Haga todo lo posible para ayudar a su hijo asistir a la escuela todos los días!
Recuerde nuestra políza de asistencia: Los estudiantes que faltan 10 o más días en un semestre son elegibles para ser dados de baja inmediatamente. 7 días consecutivos de ausencia injustificada que no se comunique a la escuela, darán como resultado el retiro inmediato de la escuela y el estudiante será colocado en la lista de espera.

PBIS
¡Nuestra escuela todavía está practicando técnicas PBIS que incluso se pueden implementar en casa! Usamos las tres reglas básicas de la escuela: ser seguro, ser respetuoso, ser responsable. Los estudiantes obtienen boletos cuando el personal los ve siguiendo estas expectativas. ¡Casi hemos bajado todas las hojas para descubrir nuestra recompensa para toda la escuela!
