Thanks for Giving
So many of you give so much of yourselves to our young people every day - your time, your energy and many times your own money. While we don't always see the plants that grow from the seeds we plant, rest assured that you are making a positive impact on these kids' lives. Please take the time to watch the video. It 's worth it. I am grateful to work with you all!

Padlet
Teachers,
Thank you for your participation in our faculty meeting Tuesday. You guys are the best! We will get the parent conference DOS and DON'TS cleaned up so that the list will be helpful.
Your tickets out the door were creative, and I would love to see you using Padlet in your classrooms. I would especially love to video that and share it with your colleagues.
Any volunteers?
Mandatory Meetings
Please remember that our faculty meetings are required. While there are always emergencies, we should do everything we can to be there. The date for the next meeting is set for the second Tuesday in January. Put the date on your calendar now so that you will be aware of it when scheduling appointments. Thanks!
We Value Your Feedback!
Please remember to complete your climate survey as soon as possible. Everyone is also asked to recruit (at least) two parents to complete the parent survey. We are ahead of every other school in the number of parent surveys! Thanks so much for your help with this important task!
FAFSA
Thanks to our counselors, Mr. Gainey, Ms. Rodgers, Ms. Shealey and Ms. Lawing for hosting our FAFSA workshop. I was one of the parents there and really appreciated the one on one assistance. Thanks for helping our kids transition from high school to college!
Collaborative Colleagues
Ms. Hannah Shierling and Mr. Tom Rinehart collaborated on a lesson about the Underground Railroad. We are so proud of them for thinking outside the box! Please let us know when you are teaching awesome lessons like these two!
MakerSpace
A MakerSpace is a DIY space where people can gather to create, invent and learn. Ms. Lindsay Thompson created our first MakerSpace Thursday. Students worked together to build a variety of items, including roller coasters! We were happy to see so many kids in the Media Center thinking and working together. We will probably start calling them JacketSpaces, but in the meantime we applaud Ms. Thompson for her efforts to push our students and move our school forward!
