Motivational Moment
Character is defined as one’s moral and ethical code--your beliefs and who you are. Integrity is about your choices and actions and living to the best of your character.
British author, C.S. Lewis, who wrote the books of The Chronicles of Narnia, said, “Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching.”
At Grassfield, we will provide opportunities for you to build your character and demonstrate your integrity. Your character matters. Your integrity matters. Your choices matter. You matter. All of our Grizzlies matter.
We challenge you to build your character by demonstrating respect for ALL people. Show your character by acting with integrity, and making good decisions and doing the right thing because it is the right thing, no matter who is looking. That is The Grizzly Way.

Bye Bye, Blue Cards
Log into the ParentVue account during the month of September to verify your student’s information online. This new process, called Student Online Verification, is replacing the blue cards that were sent home for each student in previous years. Beginning this school year, the Student Online Verification process will capture important student data and allow parents to update important information for their child online
· The Student Online Verification window will be open from September 3 – October 15.
· One parent from each family will need to complete this process by September 30, 2019, to ensure up-to-date emergency information is on file for all students.
· To complete the process parents should:
o Visit www.cpschools.com and click the ParentVue link.
o Login or Activate your account.
o Select the Online Registration/Verification button on the top right hand of the screen.
o Follow the prompts to verify student information.
PSAT
The PSAT can be a valuable tool to evaluate Dual Enrollment eligibility, AP course potential and to create individualized practice for the SAT. Also, Juniors can potentially qualify for scholarships. Students are encouraged to bring their own calculator and #2 pencils. Mechanical pencils are NOT allowed.
Registered students will receive a PSAT Student Study Guide and are encouraged to use this for practice before taking the test on October 16. The Study Guide includes PSAT Information, test-taking advice and tips and an official practice test. It is important for students to report to school on time, prepared to test. See additional information here.
