Learning From Home
Growing as readers, writers and thinkers at home.
Welcome Readers and Writers to our zone!
Hello Everyone,
I hope that you are all doing well as we make the adjustment to learning at home. These are difficult times but I want you to know that I am here to help and support you every day! I will be sending these newsletters out with some suggestions for ways to grow as a reader and writer at home. You have all made so much progress this year that it is very important that you keep reading to maintain your reading and writing abilities.
Be well,
Ms. Senatore

The Land of Notknowing by Amy Ludwig VanDerwater
I hope you enjoyed this poem today. Amy Lydwig VanDerwater is one of my all time favorite poets. I feel that she captured what is happening right now so well in this poem. What does the poem make you think? Take out your notebook and sketch or draw whatever comes to mind. You can take a picture of your response and email it to me or you can post it to your class Seesaw account if that is what your classroom teacher uses. For more amazing poems, check out Amy's website, The Poem Farm, featured below.
What I am reading today... Dory Fantasmagory by Abby Hamlon
Today I am reading the 3rd book in the Dory Fantasmagory series. I read it with my daughter, Elina (she loves this series). Dory is a funny and wacky character with a BIG imagination. These books always make us laugh.
What are you reading today? Post it in your Seesaw feed, or email a photo of yourself and your book to me. I'll post your recommendations in one of these newsletters so that you can get book ideas from each other.
