SRES MAP with Teacher Room Assignments

The 2021-2022 theme for Sunset Ranch is #coyotesCAN! In the spirit of focusing on what we CAN do, we are so excited to be able to bring back some parts of school that are critical for our students overall well-being; our long-standing MEET THE TEACHER is one of them. Allowing our students to briefly meet their teacher and to see their classroom and friends may help to settle concerns/nerves. We hope that this opportunity will make the first day less stressful and more enjoyable for all. We are definitely fans of less stress, more joy!

To ensure health and safety, the event will be modified from what you may have experienced in the past. The following understandings for this event need to be followed in order to participate:

  • Monitor and check the health of persons who will be coming prior to coming on campus - no participation if any of you have fever, cough, headached or difficulty breathing within the last 24 hours.

  • Masks are required to enter any room/building (classrooms, office, lunchroom, etc). Masks are not required outdoors (hallways, playgrounds, parking lots). If you/your child wants to enter the classroom, put masks on prior to entering and keep them on until you/he/she have exited the room.

  • Visit the teacher/class during your brief and designated time to reduce the number of people on campus at the same time. Also, our teachers will be preparing for the year before and after this hour, so please stay within your time. Although the time is brief (11:00-12:00 start to finish), we are happy that we can host the event after not being able to last year. Specific times are according to your student’s last name.

  • The intent of this event is for students to find their class and meet their teacher in person! The intent is NOT to have individual conversations about children’s needs, catch up on summer vacations, discuss the health guidelines, etc. You will receive information about the health guidance from our District Office soon and you may reach out to your child’s teacher to discuss your child at a different time.

The deadline to apply for this is Monday, August 9th at 3:00pm. SRES PTC: Volunteers Needed

Sunset Ranch PTC is looking for volunteers for the coming school year to serve as PTC members of the Executive Board. This is simple and the time commitment is very manageable. We are also looking for someone to learn and manage the PTC Facebook page alongside a veteran this year in order to take over next year. If you are able to help or if you have questions, please email sunsetranchptc@gmail.com

Thank you!

SRES COPY CENTER: Parent Volunteers Needed

SRES is establishing a Copy Center run by parent volunteers. Do you have time in your schedule between 7:30 and 3:45 p.m Monday-Friday? If so, please complete this short form and we will be in contact with you soon. SRES Copy Center Volunteer Form Thank you so much!

Nutrition Services

School lunch will continue to be free of charge this school year. We are asking all families to complete the Alternate Income Forms. This is very important as the way the state funds our schools depends on this information. Thank you for taking a few minutes to complete this Alternate Income Form.
