September 11 Memorial Assembly
On Friday, September 10, our school gathered to honor the twentieth anniversary of the events that occurred September 11, 2001. We remembered the heartbreak and loss our nation faced both on that day and the days thereafter. We also recognized how our nation joined together to show kindness, support, and courage to begin the process of healing. We said the Pledge of Allegiance and listened as Mrs. Wright sang God Bless America.

Early Dismissals - Family Initiated
PK Families: Families will park and ring the bell to enter the PK entrance of the building. We ask that you proceed directly to your student's PK classroom to sign out your student. If you need to retrieve a K-8 student after signing out your PK student, please proceed to the K-8 lobby area and the front office will call your K-8 student while you sign him/her out.
K-8 Families: Families will park and ring the bell to enter the K-8 entrance of the building. We ask that you sign out your student and remain in the lobby area (or outdoors if you prefer). The front office will call your student's classroom, and he/she will come out to you.
PTO Notice
Whatever your skillset, talent, or strengths - our PTO needs YOU! Please consider supporting BJAMS' students, faculty, and staff by joining the PTO.
Join us for our first informational PTO Meeting on Monday, Sept 13th at 9:00am. Meetings are typically the first Monday of every month and held virtually. Please email mtomlinson@bjams.org for the meeting link. Hope to see you on the screen!
During the first meeting we will organize committees to begin planning this year's awesome events and fundraisers. First on the calendar is Homecoming on Friday, Sept 24th.

PLEASE NOTE: ASP is full on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and we are not accepting new registrations for these two days.
There is no ASP on Friday, September 24, due to Homecoming. Families must make arrangements to ensure their students are supervised during Homecoming.
After School Program Reminders
As families begin the challenge of re-establishing school routines, we ask you to be mindful of the dismissal timeframe the school has established. Dismissal begins at 3:00 pm and concludes at 3:15 pm. While registration is required of all After School Program (ASP) participants, students who remain at school at 3:15 pm are automatically sent to our ASP and families are responsible for the drop-in fee, regardless of how much time the student is in attendance at ASP. We recognize this can create frustration; as such, please allow yourself extra time to account for unexpected delays, such as construction and traffic so that we may avoid this frustration. ASP attendance policies can be found in our ASP Handbook.

Bruins Academy Learn to Play Hockey Program
The Boston Bruins and Vermont State Amateur Hockey Association are excited to announce the Bruins Academy Learn to Play Hockey Program to help aspiring, youth hockey players develop their skills. The program is available to boys and girls ages 4-9 who have never played organized hockey.
