All-Region Orchestra High Achievers!

On Saturday, November 11th, seventeen AEB musicians auditioned for the TMEA Region 18 All-Region Orchestra. All students did an excellent job of representing themselves and Akins!


Congratulations to the following students for earning a seat in the All-Region Full Orchestra!

AEB Drum Captain Marcus Alvarado competed at the South Texas Classic Drumline Competition on Saturday, November 11th.


Marcus earned a 2nd place trophy for his Tenor Solo performance.


Congratulations to this fine percussionist on this outstanding achievement!

Playoff Game This Week!

For the second time in school history, the Akins Eagle Football Team has made playoffs!


We will have one brief rehearsal Wednesday morning and then attend the game to support the team on Thursday!


Rehearsal: Wednesday 11/15

Performance: Thursday Evening (Same schedule as a normal football game.)

Sectionals are required for all students. Attendance is mandatory.

Earn Money for Your Band Fees, Trip Payments, and Lessons

Did you know that you can work shifts at the UT Erwin Center to earn money for your fees, trip payments, and lessons? Each shift pays $35 to $75 per person depending on the event and business.


There are always shifts available and we are already needing people to work!
