March 2023
Reminders
Please don't drop off students before 8:00. There is no supervision. Students should be dropped off in the valet parking lot.
Thank you for helping keep our singers safe!
Also, attendance is extremely important. I have been relaxed with the three absence rule, but some have missed many more. If a student has decided not to be involved in choir anymore, please let me know. Thank you!
Yes, there is choir during conference week!
Concert Date
Our Spring Concert is May 11th at 6:30pm. Students will stay at school until after the performance for a day of fun! Can't wait!
Solo Auditions
Solo auditions for "The Greatest Show" and "A Million Dreams" started last week and will continue this week. I hope to announce soloists during choir next week.
Students were told that for "The Greatest Show", I was looking for a soloist who plays into the role. I was looking for: confident, dramatic, and on pitch.
For "A Million Dreams", I was looking for: sweet and on pitch.
So far, we have around 60 who have auditioned for five solos. Going to be a tough choice!
Time to start thinking about our 2nd Annual Lip Sync Battle! On May 11, choir students will stay after school for an afternoon filled with fun! We start with the Lip Sync Battle, then play games, have pizza, and finally perform for all of you! Here are the details:
- Groups can be any size from a solo to a large group.
- Song must be school appropriate.
- Performance must be kept to about 2:00 minutes.
- Costumes and choreography are encouraged, but not required.
- Sign-up sheet will go up after spring break.
- Have fun!
